Last chance for women in Mid Dorset to share views on local healthcare

Women living in Mid Dorset are being urged to take part in a Women's Health Survey before it closes on Monday 2 November.

The survey, led by Healthwatch Dorset in partnership with Mid Dorset Primary Care Network (PCN), is gathering views from women aged 16 and over living in Dorchester and surrounding communities, including Puddletown, Cerne Abbas, Milton Abbas, Portesham and Crossways.

The feedback will help inform plans for a dedicated women's health hub in Mid Dorset, aimed at improving access to support and services locally. Findings from a Dorset-wide survey undertaken in 2024 showed that women want clear information, to feel listened to, and to be able to access services closer to home. This latest survey is seeking more detailed feedback from women living across Mid Dorset to help identify opportunities to improve support and care.

Women's health issues can affect people at every stage of life, from reproductive health and maternity care to menopause support, screening services, mental health and long-term conditions. By sharing their experiences, local women can help shape future services and priorities for healthcare providers across Mid Dorset.

Women have until Monday 2 November to take part and ensure their experiences help shape the future of local healthcare services.

Louise Bate, Manager at Healthwatch Dorset, said: "We want to hear from as many women as possible before the survey closes. Every woman's experience of healthcare is different, and by sharing those experiences and priorities, local people can help ensure future services reflect what women in Mid Dorset need. Whether your experiences have been positive or challenging, your feedback can make a real difference."
